Iroh’s 7-Month Update: New Adventures, New Experiences, and Continued Growth

A Look at How Our Pledge-a-Pup Service Dog Prospect Is Growing

It is hard to believe how quickly time is passing. Iroh is already 7 months old, and he continues to surprise us with his curiosity, confidence, and love for adventure.

As part of our Pledge-a-Pup campaign, we have been following Iroh’s journey as he works toward becoming a PTSD service dog for a Veteran. Every update gives us a glimpse into the training, experiences, and support that help prepare him for this important role.

Right now, Iroh is staying with a temporary foster family while his original foster parent recovers from surgery. Even with this change in routine, Iroh has been doing wonderfully and embracing every new experience along the way.

Adventures Around Every Corner

Iroh has been keeping busy with plenty of fun activities during his temporary stay. From helping deliver mail from a golf cart to spending time with his brother Sokka, he has continued building confidence while enjoying everyday moments.

He has also experienced some exciting new adventures, including rides on a ferry and even a small transport boat. These types of experiences are valuable for a future service dog because they help puppies learn how to navigate new environments, sounds, movements, and situations with confidence.

According to his original foster, Iroh is having a wonderful time and continues to show that he is a happy, adaptable, and eager-to-learn pup.

Iroh’s progress is made possible because of the incredible support behind our Pledge-a-Pup campaign. Through this effort, we are working toward our goal of raising $25,000 to help sponsor Iroh’s journey as he trains to support a Veteran experiencing PTSD.
